Reliable for P2P trading

I've been using AgoraDesk for a while now, mainly for Bitcoin P2P trading. This last time, I did a local cash trade, which can sometimes be a bit tricky, but it went off without a hitch. The secure messaging system helped coordinate the meetup, and the escrow function made me feel safe about the whole thing. The fees are reasonable, and I appreciate the privacy focus-no KYC is a big plus for me. Support actually got back to me pretty fast a few months back when I had a question about a seller's rating, so that was good to see. It's consistent and reliable, which is what I look for in these platforms.

Pretty decent experience

I tried out AgoraDesk for the first time to do a gift card crypto exchange, mostly out of curiosity. The site itself wasn't too hard to figure out. I found a decent offer pretty quickly. The trade took a bit longer than I expected for the gift card to be verified, probably an hour and a half total, but it went through. No big complaints, just felt a little slow at that one point. Overall, it worked out okay.

Solid for privacy

I traded Monero for Bitcoin using their XMR to BTC swap. It was a good experience. No KYC was a big selling point. The exchange went through without any issues, and the fees were transparent. Happy with the privacy and the non-custodial wallet function.

Quick P2P Bitcoin trade

Needed some Bitcoin fast, so I jumped on AgoraDesk. Found a good offer for an online bank transfer. The whole thing was pretty quick from start to finish. Sent the money, seller confirmed, and the Bitcoin was in my wallet. No hassle, which is exactly what I wanted. Definitely would use it again for quick trades.

Easy Monero purchase, slow seller

I bought some Monero using a gift card on AgoraDesk. The process was mostly smooth; finding a seller was easy enough. The platform itself felt secure with the escrow. My only real gripe was that the seller took almost an hour to release the Monero after I confirmed sending the gift card details. It wasn't a huge delay, but it felt a bit long when I was waiting. The fees seemed reasonable though, and I appreciated the privacy aspect without KYC. Good value overall, just wish the trade had finalized quicker.

Good for Monero, careful with ads

I used AgoraDesk a few months back to buy some Monero with a bank transfer. The sign-up was straightforward, no KYC, which was a big plus for me. Finding a good offer took a little while, as some ads had pretty high premiums. I ended up choosing one with a decent rate and a seller with good feedback. The escrow system worked as expected; I sent the money, confirmed payment, and the Monero was released to my non-custodial wallet pretty quickly after that. The messaging system within the platform was secure and easy to use for communicating with the seller. Support documentation was helpful when I had a question about transaction limits. Overall, a solid experience for P2P trading, but you really need to compare offers to get the best deal.

Hey, I'm new to this whole P2P crypto thing. Is AgoraDesk actually legit for buying Monero? Like, how do I know I won't get scammed?

R Rachel A. 3 weeks ago
Yeah it's legit. They use an escrow system so the seller can't just run off with your money. The coins are held until you confirm you've paid.

S Sean J. 3 weeks ago
Been using it for a while, never had an issue. Just make sure you follow the trade instructions carefully and don't release payment until you see the crypto in your wallet.

Anyone know if AgoraDesk is still up and running? Heard some rumors it might've closed down, but seeing some old posts about it.

J Joseph Nguyen 1 month ago
Nah, it's not. AgoraDesk shut down a while ago. You're probably looking at outdated info.

B Ben Martin 1 month ago
Yeah, pretty sure it's gone. If you're looking for something similar, try LocalMonero, that's what a lot of people moved to after AgoraDesk closed.

Yeah, it's definitely still active. Just used it last week to grab some XMR.

It's running fine. I think you might be mixing it up with some other platforms that did close down, but AgoraDesk is good to go.

So, I'm looking to buy some XMR but really don't want to deal with giving out my ID. Does AgoraDesk actually let you trade without KYC?

C Carol Young 1 month ago
That was one of their big selling points, no KYC needed for most trades. It's why a lot of people used it.
2
S Sam N. 1 month ago
AFAIK, yes, that's correct. You could trade without all the identity verification stuff, which was a huge plus for privacy.

What's the deal with gift cards on here? Can I actually buy Monero with, say, an Amazon gift card? Seems kinda weird.

M Melissa R. 1 month ago
Yep, it's a thing. Some sellers accept gift cards as payment. You just have to find a trade offer that lists it as an option.
5
B Brittany Diaz 1 month ago
You can! Just be prepared that the rates might not be as good as bank transfers or cash, because it's a bit riskier for the seller. But definitely possible.

Wondering about payment options for buying Bitcoin. Can I use like, a regular bank transfer or gift cards?

A Amanda Hill 1 month ago
Yeah, tons of options. Bank transfers are common, and you can definitely find gift card offers too. Just depends on the seller.
5
A Amanda Scott 1 month ago
Yep, I've used both. Just make sure to check the seller's specific terms for each trade. Some accept one, some accept the other, some both.

What's the deal with KYC on AgoraDesk? Do I need to verify my identity to trade here?

C Carol Young 2 weeks ago
Nope, no KYC needed. That's one of the main reasons I use it.

C Chris T. 2 weeks ago
Nah, it's all about privacy. You can trade without giving up your personal info, which is awesome.

Are there any promo codes or like, sign-up bonuses for AgoraDesk? Trying to save on fees if I can.

B Brandon Allen 2 weeks ago
They didn't really do 'promo codes' in the traditional sense. It was more about referral links where you could get a percentage of trading fees back if you signed up through one.
6
D David Torres 2 weeks ago
Yeah, I think you'd get some kind of kickback or reduced fees if someone invited you. Not like a flat discount code you'd find for a normal online store.
